About Us

Rajmala Welfare Society (RWS) is a non-profit, community-based organization founded in November 2013. Initially established as a support center for trans women, queer youth, and individuals in crisis, RWS has since evolved into a dynamic organization focused on advocacy and service delivery. It is led by a committed team of activist volunteers and operates across Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and surrounding areas.

RWS works to challenge discrimination and violence based on gender, caste, religion, and class. Its holistic support services include legal aid, paralegal assistance, medical referrals, social mediation, and counseling, with a strong emphasis on transgender women and people living with HIV (PLHIV).

Ownership

RWS is built on the belief that every individual deserves dignity, respect, and the freedom to shape their own future. Our commitment to inclusivity ensures that transgender communities, PLHIV, and other marginalized groups are not only seen and heard but actively centered in every aspect of our work. We strive to create safe, affirming spaces where people can access legal aid, healthcare linkages, counseling, and crisis support without fear or discrimination. Empowerment is at the heart of our approach—equipping individuals with knowledge, resources, and leadership opportunities that strengthen their agency and open pathways to opportunity.
Transparency and community ownership guide how we operate and make decisions. RWS believes that sustainable change emerges when communities lead the solutions that affect their lives. We work closely with local leaders, volunteers, and youth groups to co‑design programs, ensuring accountability and shared responsibility. Through open communication, ethical practices, and collective action, RWS nurtures a culture of trust and resilience—building systems that uplift individuals and strengthen communities across Delhi‑NCR.
