Mithun Chatterjee

Mithun Chatterjee is an entrepreneur and owner of Bellissimo.

Bellissimo, basically is a concept wherein they try to cater to the essential & recreational needs of the LGBT spectrum. They are presently operating from a 1250sq.ft area comprising of a Wellness Centre, Salon & Multi-Cuisine Terrace restaurant located at the heart of South Delhi, Saket. The entire place has been aesthetically built keeping in mind the taste of our (LGBT) community people. Mithun started this in the beginning of 2020 but unfortunately because of the COVID he had to temporarily close the business for few months. Later with the help of their esteemed clientele they somehow sustained this dreaded phase.

Apart from this Mithun also spearhead a gay travel venture by the name of HeTravels conceptualised in 2015 and till date he boast of completing more than 30-40 odd trips within the country. It was then he realized the need of providing more safe spaces for people like us to meet, interact & foster a relationship that was the need of the hour. He also thought that this can be pursued as a profession and then back in 2019 he fully started concentrating on this resigning from his high paying job. It was around 2019 he realized that the LGBT community especially in India lacks access to a lot of products in comparison to their western counterparts. Eyeing that opportunity he founded a small e-platform by the name of Pridestoreindia through which he started selling a lot of products like rainbow accessories, fancy lingerie for men, games spicing up their personal life. This was also well absorbed by the crowd & he felt glad seeing those happy faces.

Now Mithun’s focus is to strengthen the 3 business platform & expand it to other cities at a later stage. The vision is to develop a synergy between these three namely HETravels (Travel) – Pridestoreindia (Product needs) – Bellissimo (Lifestyle needs).

Being 100% LGBTQIA+ friendly they practice zero discrimination policy that can be seen on all our policies drafted from guest handling to hiring employees within the existing framework. They do look to expand both their offline and online presence through venture capital & collaboration with international players to bridge the gap between India & overseas. A synergy & long term syncing can lift them to a one shop destination for all that you need being Gay & perhaps the new Gay Amazon.
