Over the past three decades in India, a growing number of scientists have painstakingly built a knowledge base around LGBTQIA health concerns. It is now widely acknowledged that these communities experience health disparities as a result of multiple socio-cultural factors.

There are numerous studies worldwide which have proven that queer individuals have a higher prevalence of life-threatening physical and mental health conditions, experience barriers to health care access, and face significant threats to their quality of life.

Rajmala Welfare Society intends to support LGBTQIA individuals to increase their skills, knowledge, and self-confidence to improve and maintain their health and well-being. We intend to work in partnership with others to build a strong, cohesive, and influential LGBTQIA community in India.
